Beeswax Leather & Wood Lotions and Protectors

Our bee's grease, for smooth leathers and animal hides, is not a polish but a sealant. It contains pine tar, beeswax and other natural ingredients.

Our leather lotion is our replacement for mink oil and other similar products. It will outlast mink oil usually by 4-6 times.

Our bee's tar is our wood sealant containing pine tar, linseed oil, orange oil, beeswax and other natural ingredients.

Our wood lotion is a waxing polish which does not contain the pine tar and is safe on food surfaces.

Beeswax Wood Polish

Our wood lotion is a waxing polish which does not contain pine tar and is safe on food surfaces. Made with natural beeswax & oils, linseed oil, orange oil and more.

Apply to naked sanded wood or old worn varnished wood and watch it come back to life. The oils enrich and polish the wood while the beeswax protects from water & elements while sealing in the oils.

This product is designed to be used as a regular treatment to both polish and rejuvenate, as well as to strengthen the wax coat and enhance protection.

Bee’s Tar

Our bee's tar is our wood sealant containing pine tar, linseed oil, orange oil, beeswax and more.

Apply to naked sanded wood or old worn varnished wood and watch it come back to life. The oils enrich and polish the wood while the beeswax protects from water & elements while sealing in the oils.

This product is designed as a finish and sealer. A little goes very far and treatment is usually only needed monthly to annually depending on the level of use and wear. High wear surfaces, such as a table top or flooring, may need more frequent applications. Surfaces and furniture with low or no wear hardly ever need a polish, such as book cases and non-traffic surfaces for which decades can pass between treatments.

These before and after photos are from the old farmhouse we use for our business. These floors had not been finished since they were new over forty years ago. They were worn, stained, dried out and squeaky, even rough to bare feet. We used two jars and a partial of a third, a $24.95 turtle wax car buffer and one $0.60 pad. In 72 minutes of our time we were able to cover just over 1100 sq. feet of hard wood flooring.

As for the results? These images are the proof. We did not sand, you will see blemishes, paint stains etc. that we left in the floor for aging and to tell its story. Yet the bee's tar makes it look like we varnished. We applied right on and over the few traces of original varnish left behind, you cannot tell where it ends and the tar treatment begins. We now mop the floors as you would any floor.

We did give a second coat using the rest of the third jar and then a wipe down with wood lotion a few days after our initial coverage because of the damage done over the years. The wood drank the moisture up for the first round. These before and after images, are before that second treatment took place and are still what the floors look like today, a year later.

Most of the furniture in our home and business is handmade, natural wood. Not one of these furniture items in our home or office have ever been finished, they are all natural wood treated with our Bee's Tar and Wood Polish only. From our bookcases to our kitchen table and chairs we used no stain, no sealant, no paint or lacquer.

As we will say throughout this site, we do not make products to sell to the public based on what we think they will buy. We sell goods that we use and create for ourselves, our friends & families. We truly believe the products we make, are the best that can be made in the world for what they do.

Beeswax Leather Protectant

These comparison photos of a pair of shoes that went untreated. They were identical in their poor treatment. We took the worst shoe and spent about 8 minutes applying and rubbing in some bee's grease followed by a conditioner rub and let it soak in. The results are not only beautiful, but water now beads up on the boots and rolls off.

We wear and use many leather and animal hides in our business and home. Many of our customers and colleagues do as well. This, as with all of our crafts, is the product we and those we know use ourselves for all of our smooth true animal hides. We use our leather products on our own car seats, shoes, pants, coats, jackets, gloves, sofas, hats, etc.
